Manhattan signed 219 contracts in Howard Hanna NYC’s October 26 report, published October 23, up from 191 in the previous edition. Brooklyn recorded 127, up from 112. The publisher rounds those increases to 15% and 13%, respectively. These are agreements, not completed sales.

New listings moved the other way: 292 in Manhattan and 210 in Brooklyn, down from 310 and 231. Active sale inventory changed little, at 6,155 and 3,788. Taken together, the figures describe more contracts and fewer fresh arrivals during the report’s weekly comparison. They do not establish what happens next.

MM&Co. perspective

For a buyer, this is a reason to revisit the shortlist with fresh information. Check whether the homes you liked remain available and what has joined them. For a seller, compare the alternatives still competing with your property, alongside recent agreements and completed sales. The borough totals describe a pace; a useful pricing conversation begins with the homes most like yours.
